Transformation of the Day: Nalla lost 55 pounds. Weight has been a life long stuggle for her. In July 2016, she made the decision to push past the depression and insecurity she was experiencing. She found the strength to release the weight for good. Check out how she did it.

I’m 28 years old and I live in Rockford, Illinois. Let me start by saying that I’ve been dealing with being overweight all my life! I weighed 200 pounds in the 8th grade. I started my first weight loss journey in 2012, and got myself down to 143 pounds, but gained it all back a year later. I finally got motivated again in July 2016 after being highly depressed and extremely insecure about myself.
I started the journey on July 28th, 2016 at 185 pounds at 5’3″. I now weigh 130 pounds. My goal weight is a lean 125 pounds. When look back at my old pictures they keep me motivated, because I truly feel amazing today! Now, my goal is inspire everyone to become their best self.
How did you change your eating habits?
I love cooking so prepping my meals in advance was very easy for me. I meal prep every Sunday, making 5-7 meals. I drink protein shakes Monday-Saturday and make a healthy breakfast on Sundays. I also stopped eating after 7pm. I mainly eat chicken, fish and turkey. I drink detox waters daily. Everything I consume is natural.
What did you do for exercise?
In the beginning, I started by walking daily on the bike path near my house. Now, I workout 4-6 days a week, doing 45 minutes of cardio daily.
What advice would you give to other people who want to lose weight?
My advice for others who want to lose weight is to be patient and understand that consistency is key. Nothing happens overnight! Fall in love with the process and the results will come.
