Weight Loss Transformation of the Day: Eutonya lost 25 pounds. She knows that even though she’s had some ups and downs on her journey, slow and steady wins the race. Here is what she shared with us about her journey…

I started my journey back in September 2014 to lose weight and try to eat better. Since I started, I have lost weight and gained it back so many times, but I never gave up. I’m not just doing this because it’s about to be summertime. A lot of people lose weight to have that summer body but I did it due to health problems. I have high blood pressure and I’m tired of taking medicine. I also wanted to have more confidence. Don’t get me wrong, I love the skin I’m in, but I know it can be much better. I’m not getting any younger. I will be 39 years old this year and I want to be like a fine wine (better with time).
I started eating more healthy. I stopped eating ALL fast food druing the first 3 months of my journey. I only ate baked chicken and fish and more vegetables and fruit. The first 3 months, I walked around the lake 5 days the week. My starting weight was 242 pounds. Now, I weight 217 pounds and my goal is to lose 15 more pounds (height: 5’6″).
My advice is to never give up, even if people say you can’t do it. Trust me, it’s been hard. My weight was going up and down but I never gave up. So, to the people that said I couldn’t do it I say, “Y’ALL KNOW WHAT Y’ALL CAN DO FOR ME”. To the ones who have been helping me I say thank you because y’all push me! “WORK HARD or GO HOME!”

Two years later, I can truly say. “Thank you, John.” Did I deserve to be left? No, I didn’t. No one does. Was I fat? Yes, I was well over 240 pounds. Was I unhealthy? Oh Yes! My knees hurt, my back ached. Walking in heels was becoming a chore. Sleeping restfully was hit or miss. Diabetes and high blood pressure were knocking on my door. Here’s my simple reality: I truly believe that if he hadn’t left I would still be that fat, tired, sickly woman in an unhappy and unhealthy marriage.

My goal weight is still 160 pounds. I don’t want to be too skinny, my body is not meant to be tiny. I want to be moderate, elegant, and beautiful. I’m concentrating on losing fat, not lean muscle. I receive so many compliments and everyone wants to know the secret to my success. My advice for other people is to stay away from that “quick fix” stuff. (I.E. slimming tea, herbal medicine, pills, etc.) If you can control what you eat, you will lose weight fast, safe and effectively.
